Netsafe Offers ads will be displayed as underlined keywords on a the web site. If you click on the keyword, then an ad will be displayed.     These ads are displayed through adware that configures your browser to use a proxy server. When you use your web browser, the traffic will pass through this proxy server and have javascript injected into the page. This javascript will then display advertisements onto the web sites that you are visiting.

    Free software that you download off of the Internet sometimes also come with adware. These adware programs will display advertisements, hijack your browser, or do other unwanted actions on a computer. Therefore, it is important that you pay close attention to license agreements and installation screens when installing anything off of the Internet.
