RunBooster is an adware program that underlines keywords on web pages that when hovered over will display pop-up advertisements. When this adware is installed it will also cause pop-up advertisements and new pages to open when you click on links on a web site or right click on a web page. In most cases these advertisements will be for other adware, potentially unwanted programs, tech support scams, and surveys.

When these advertisements are displayed they will be labeled Ad by Not Set or Ad by Advertiser.
Furthermore, when testing this adware there was a noticeable performance hit while browsing the web. Browser windows would be slow, freeze often, and web pages would take a long time to load.
How did RunBooster get on my computer?

It is important to note that this program is installed by other programs that did not adequately disclose that other software would be installed along with it. Therefore, it is important that you pay attention to the license agreements and installation screens when installing anything off of the Internet. If an installation screen offers you Custom or Advanced installation options, it is a good idea to select these as they will typically disclose what other 3rd party software will also be installed. Furthermore, If the license agreement or installation screens state that they are going to install a toolbar or other unwanted adware, it is advised that you cancel the install and not use the free software.
It is apparent to anyone who has RunBooster installed that this adware does not provide a benefit to the computer it is install on. All the user will see are a stream of intrusive advertisements for unwanted programs or tech support scams. To remove this adware and potentially other installed adware, you can use the removal guide below to remove it for free.
