  • PCTechHotline Removal Guide

PCTechHotline is a Potentially Unwanted Programs, or PUP, that places an icon of a remote support person's head on the title bar of the active program. When you click on this head a nag screen labeled PCTechHotline will open that contains a phone number where you could supposedly receive remote technical support. This nag screen also has a System Check tab that displays a variety of other programs that they are trying to push on you. At the time of this writing the phone number that is being advertised is 1-855-650-2497 and the software they are pushing is Spyware Terminator 2012, PCRx, and Safety Optimizer. It is strongly suggested that you do not install any of these recommended programs as they are not ones you want on your computer.
