Games Bot is a PUP that is commonly bundled with other downloads and allows you to download Shockwave games that you can play on your computer. At first glance this program seems innocuous until you notice that your computer's CPU is at 100%, your hard drive is constantly being accessed, and your computer and Internet connectivity appear to be slower. This is because in the background, there is a process called gbRunner.exe that is constantly launching instances of its bundled Chrome.exe and accessing web sites with them. The purpose of all these Internet request is unknown, but the byproduct of all these requests is a computer that is running slower than it should be. It is important to note that the Chrome program bundled with Games Bot is a legitimate program and not malware or a PUP.
