The dosearches.com adware is a program that is bundled with other free software that you download off of the Internet. Once installed it will set the home page and search engine for any installed browsers to dosearches.com without your permission. This adware will also append the argument http://www.dosearches.com/?utm_source=b& utm_medium=smt&utm_campaign=eXQ&utm_content=hp&from=smt&uid=&ts= to your web browser shortcuts. This causes the dosearches.com web page to open when you launch one of these hijacked shortcuts even if it is not set as your home page. Furthermore, this method makes it very hard, if not impossible, to clean your shortcuts unless you use specialized tools like Shortcut Cleaner.
