Weather Wizard is a potentially unwanted program from the Rogue.Tech-Support-Scam family that bundles executables that displays fake Windows system crashes in order to scare the victim into calling a remote tech support number. This alert pretends to be a blue screen of death crash for the Sysboot.sys driver with the Driver_IRQL_NOT_LESS_OR_EQUAL error , but also includes a message to contact a 1-800-979-1581 remote tech support number. When the alert is shown, it will overlap the entire Windows screen so that you are unable to view the desktop or any running applications. In order to close this screen, so you can follow the steps in this guide, press the ALT and F4 keys on your keyboard at the same time. This will close the fake crash window and allow you to access your normal Windows applications.

It is important to note that the Weather Wizard program is bundled with and installed by free programs that did not adequately disclose that other software would be installed along with it. Therefore, it is important that you pay close attention to license agreements and installation screens when installing anything off of the Internet. If an installation screen offers you Custom or Advanced installation options, it is a good idea to select these as they will typically disclose what other 3rd party software will also be installed. Furthermore, If the license agreement or installation screens state that they are going to install a toolbar or other unwanted adware, it is advised that you immediately cancel the install and not use the free software.
Without a doubt, Weather Wizard was created for the sole purpose of scaring you into thinking that your computer is crashing so that you will call the listed tech support number. It goes without saying that if you see this message, you should definitely not call the number, but should instead use the free removal guide below.
