Weather Alert is a potentially unwanted program program that displays coupons and advertisements that overlay websites that you are visiting. When this program is installed, it will display a little box labeled Weather Alert or Weather Alert News at the top right of pages you are visiting. If you click on this box it will display advertisements or stories related to the weather. While running, this program will also display advertisements on top of the web page that you are visiting that will be labeled Ad by Weather Alert or By Weather Alert.

If an installation screen offers you Custom or Advanced installation options, it is a good idea to select these as they will typically disclose what other 3rd party software will also be installed. Furthermore, If the license agreement or installation screens state that they are going to install a toolbar or other unwanted adware, it is advised that you immediately cancel the install and not use the free software.
Weather Alert was developed solely to generate advertising revenue for the developers and in my opinion does not provide a useful service to its users. Yes, it does show stories related to the weather, but it will also show intrusive advertisements that in my opinion do not make it worth having the program installed. If you have Weather Alert on your computer and you now longer wish to see these advertisements, it is suggested that you uninstall this program and any related adware using the following removal guide.
