Triangulum is an adware infection that displays advertisements into web sites that you are browsing. When displaying the advertisements they will be labeled Triangulum Ads or Powered by Triangulum and will appear as videos, banners, moving ads, or like folded down page in the top right corner of the web site.
To make matters worse, Triangulum will also use a rootkit that prevents you from accessing the folder that contains the infection files. When installed, it will load two drivers called C:\Windows\system32\Drivers\bsdpf64.sys and C:\Windows\system32\Drivers\bsdpr64.sys that hook the operating system so that you are unable to access certain files or Registry keys associated with this infection.

It is important to note that the Triangulum infection is bundled with and installed by free programs that did not adequately disclose that other software would be installed along with it. Therefore, it is important that you pay close attention to license agreements and installation screens when installing anything off of the Internet. If an installation screen offers youÂ*CustomÂ*orÂ*AdvancedÂ*installation options, it is a good idea to select these as they will typically disclose what other 3rd party software will also be installed.
