  • How to remove Triangulum Ads (Removal Guide)

Triangulum is an adware infection that displays advertisements into web sites that you are browsing. When it injects these advertisements it will do so in a way that makes the web site almost unusuable. The ads will overlay the content on the page and when you click on a link, it will just open a pop-up to another advertisement. This causes web browsers to become slow, freeze, and almost impossible to browse the web.

When Triangulum displays advertisements it will either display them in pop-up windows or directly on a web page you are visiting. Even if the web page normally does not have ads, Triangulum will still inject them onto the page. When displaying the advertisements they will be labeled Triangulum Ads or Powered by Triangulum and will appear as videos, banners, moving ads, or like folded down page in the top right corner of the web site.
To make matters worse, Triangulum will also use a rootkit that prevents you from accessing the folder that contains the infection files. When installed, it will load two drivers called C:\Windows\system32\Drivers\bsdpf64.sys and C:\Windows\system32\Drivers\bsdpr64.sys that hook the operating system so that you are unable to access certain files or Registry keys associated with this infection.
How did the Triangulum Adware get on my computer?

It is important to note that the Triangulum infection is bundled with and installed by free programs that did not adequately disclose that other software would be installed along with it. Therefore, it is important that you pay close attention to license agreements and installation screens when installing anything off of the Internet. If an installation screen offers youÂ*CustomÂ*orÂ*AdvancedÂ*installation options, it is a good idea to select these as they will typically disclose what other 3rd party software will also be installed. Furthermore, If the license agreement or installation screens state that they are going to install a toolbar or other unwanted adware, it is advised that you immediately cancel the install and not use the free software.
As you can see, the Triangulum Adware is a highly intrusive infection that was only designed to display advertisements and generate revenue for the developers. Furthermore, its use of a rootkit pushes this program into a Trojan category rather than a normal adware classification. Please use this guide to remove Triangulum and any other related programs for free.
