While running, Secure Net or Media-Hubs, will use the Privoxy server to inject the following javascript into web sites that you are viewing.

The above script will allow advertisements to be displayed either as pop-ups, in new tabs, or even on the site itself. These ads may be for porn sites, further adware downloads, legitimate products, or tech support scams.
You can see an example of this script injected into the New York Times website below:
How was Secure Net or Media-Hubs install on my Computer?

It is important to note that the Secure Net is bundled with and installed by free programs that did not adequately disclose that other software would be installed along with it. Therefore, it is important that you pay close attention to license agreements and installation screens when installing anything off of the Internet. If an installation screen offers youÂ*CustomÂ*orÂ*AdvancedÂ*installation options, it is a good idea to select these as they will typically disclose what other 3rd party software will also be installed. Furthermore, If the license agreement or installation screens state that they are going to install a toolbar or other unwanted adware, it is advised that you immediately cancel the install and not use the free software.
In my opinion, the Secure Net or Media-Hubs adware was only created to generate advertising revenue for the developer and provides no benefit for the user. Therefore, I feel if you have this program installed you should remove it from your computer. You can use the following guide to remove Secure Net and Media-Hubs for free.
