If you perform a search in Chrome, Firefox, or Edge and it's being redirected to search.yahoo.com then you most likely have an unwanted extension, toolbar, or addon installed. A common tactic used by extension developers is to modify a browser's default search engine so that it goes to a site under the developer's control. This then redirects the searcher to search.yahoo.com, which then displays the search results.
