The WinSAPSvc Windows service is a potentially unwanted program, or PUP, that transmits information back to adware distribution networks. As shown below, when this program is installed it will transmit information back to the adware network about current status of its installation, the language of the computer, hard drive identifier, and possibly other information.

The exact purpose of the WinSAPSvc PUP is not currently known. What is known is that it is commonly installed with adware installations and transmits information from your computer without your knowledge. Due to the exhibited behavior of this program, it does not appear to be a program someone would want on their computer.
How did the WinSAPSvc PUP get on my computer?

It is important to note that the WinSAPSvc PUP is bundled with and installed by free programs that did not adequately disclose that other software would be installed along with it. Therefore, it is important that you pay close attention to license agreements and installation screens when installing anything off of the Internet. If an installation screen offers youÂ*CustomÂ*orÂ*AdvancedÂ*installation options, it is a good idea to select these as they will typically disclose what other 3rd party software will also be installed. Furthermore, if the license agreement or installation screens state that they are going to install a toolbar or other unwanted adware, it is advised that you immediately cancel the install and not use the free software.
As shown, the WinSAPSvc transmits information about your computer back to a remote location without your permission or knowledge. Therefore, it strongly suggested that it be removed from a computer. To remove this PUP and other adware that may have been installed with it, you can use the removal guide below.
