The SafeBrowse Google Chrome extension by safebrowse.co describes itself as "With SafeBrowse navigate without waiting in Adfly, Linkbucks and other similar sites. No more waiting, no more annoying advertising". While this extension does in fact bypass the advertisements on these types of URLs, what it does not tell you is that it also injects a in-browser Monero miner into Chrome that utilizes over 50% of your CPU while the browser is running.
